I’m usually one to avoid spoilers if I can help it but for some reason I click on anything and everything The Dark Knight Rises related lately. This video is a behind-the-scenes look at a fight between Christian Bale’s Batman and Tom Hardy’s Bane, rehearsal and shooting, so if want to go into the film fresh, don’t watch.

The footage was shot this past weekend in Oakland (a neighborhood of Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania. Christopher Nolan has been filming his last entry to the most recent Batman trilogy in the surrounding area.

The footage was uploaded by Pittsburgh news station WPXI, who wrote, “On Aug. 3, WPXI captured this exciting video of Batman and Bane fighting on the steps of Gotham City Hall (aka The Mellon Institute) during the filming of The Dark Knight Rises in Oakland.”

I’m vaguely surprised Warner Bros. would let this type of thing be posted, or at least not removed after it was. Not that there’s anything here that spoils the plot of the film but Nolan and crew have been pretty strict about what they’ve released so far. Just earlier this week we got our first official look at Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman.

The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20, 2012.
